Our Heart
Caring for a loved one with dementia is holy work, and it's also exhausting. Our Respite Ministry exists to bless caregivers with a dependable, four-hour break while we joyfully host their loved ones in a safe, uplifting, and dignity-honoring setting.
Who We Serve
Caregivers who need time for rest, errands, appointments, or a quiet cup of coffee.

Guests living with mild to moderate dementia, including Alzheimer's and other dementia-related illnesses.
What Your Loved One Can Expect
A gentle rhythm designed for comfort, connection, and joy:

Warm Welcome & Orientation
Friendly check-in, name badges, and introductions.
​
Engaging Activities
Conversation, memory-friendly games, music and singing, art/handcrafts, simple puzzles, and sensory activities.

Movement
Light stretching or a short walk (as appropriate).
​
Faith Moments
Short devotionals, prayer, and encouragement.
​
Food and Hydration
We will serve snacks in the morning and other times as needed, as well as a family-style meal for lunch.

Quiet Spaces
Calm areas for rest when someone needs a break.
Safety & Care Standards
Trained, Compassionate Team:
Volunteers are oriented to dementia care best practices and supervised by ministry leaders.​

Secure, Supportive Setting:
Clearly marked spaces, calm atmosphere, and close supervision with appropriate guest-to-volunteer ratios.

Health and Dignity First:
We follow your instructions, respect routines, and keep personal information confidential.

Medication and Health Needs:
Please discuss any medications or special needs during enrollment so we can plan appropriate support.

Eligibility
Guests should be able to participate safely in a group setting, ambulate with minimal assistance, and not require skilled nursing care.
